How to sow it
An outdoor cucumber that does not need a greenhouse, which in Britain is the whole argument for growing it. Start seeds indoors in spring, harden off carefully, and give each plant something to climb.
Pick small and pick often. A cucumber left to grow oversized tells the plant its work is done and production drops away.
