How to sow it
A mixed leaf blend sown thickly and cut with scissors at around 10 cm. Each plant regrows two or three times before it tires, so a single sowing keeps a household in salad for a month or more.
This is also the best crop in the range for a windowsill or a cold frame. Sown in October under cover it will carry you through the winter, slowly, which is more than almost anything else here can claim.
